Did you know that 2018 is the Year of the Dog, according to the Chinese Zodiac? Does that mean you’re going to have a “ruff” 2018? Or are you going to have a great year that will leave you wagging your tail? The following are some interesting facts about the Year of the Dog, which begins on February 16, 2018, and ends on February 4, 2019.
A Busy Year

2018 will be a happy year, filled with many parties, according to Chinese horoscope. But it will also be a busy period that might leave you feeling exhausted at times. The Year of the Dog will also be a prosperous time for most signs of the Chinese zodiac.
The Best of Times and the Worst

The signs that will have the best time in 2018 will be the Rat, Tiger, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Pig and, of course, the Dog. Signs that will have a mixed year include the Ox and the Rabbit. Unfortunately, if you’re a Dragon, this will not be your year, and you should take special care when traveling.
Children Born During the Year of the Dog

If you’ll be having a baby during the Year of the Dog, you can expect your child to be cheerful, honest, sporty and loyal.
Celebrate Chinese New Year

On February 25, 2018, head down to Chicago’s Chinatown so you can catch the annual Lunar New Year parade. The parade, which will begin at 1:00 p.m., will start at 24th Street and Wentworth Avenue. It will include floats, bands and traditional lion dances. Because this is the Year of the Dog, parade organizers are accepting applications from dog owners who want to march in the procession with their pups. Only 28 dogs will be accepted.
